Sending a Mail/Care Package

Inmates will have the luxury of sending and receiving mail from you. Inmates can purchase the supplies to send the mail from the prison commissary. You will NOT be permitted to send inmates supplies to send letters. This material will be confiscated.

Sending Money

Money is going to be a vital part of an inmate’s life. Without money, they will not be permitted to use the Unicoi County Jail telephone service or even purchase what they need in the prison canteen.

Money can be in the form of a money order. Cash and personal checks will NOT be accepted.

If you are going to send a money order to the Unicoi County Jail, you will need to use the United States Postal Service. Please do not overnight it or use another mail delivery carrier.
