One of the most long, boring tasks you will ever have to do is locate an inmate in the Oklahoma County Detention Center. As of now, you are still required to contact the Oklahoma County Detention Center with any questions or comments you may have about an inmate they are in custody.
These correctional officers can hand out the basic information on an inmate. If you are looking for information based on his or her case, you will be required to contact his or her attorneys and NOT the Oklahoma County Detention Center.
Sending a Mail/Care Package
When sending any mail to the Oklahoma County Detention Center, you will need to us the United States Postal Service.
The Oklahoma County Detention Center will NOT accept mail from FedEx, UPS, or any other service.
Sending Money
The easiest way to fund an inmate’s books is to bring a money order down to the Oklahoma County Detention Center when you are going to visit them. The correctional officers in the lobby can deposit the money into the inmate’s accounts. Money will be available in a few days for the inmate to use.
Phone calls
Inmates will have the choice between making collect calls or using the phone service that the Oklahoma County Detention Center provides, NCIC Inmate Telephone Services.
The NCIC Inmate Telephone Services is a third-party service that inmates and their families can opt in. This service is not free. This service will require inmates to have money in their phone account, if they want to make calls home.
Inmates are limited to 15-minute calls daily. This is to allow all inmates in the Oklahoma County Detention Center to have time to use the telephone.
Visitation
The Oklahoma County Detention Center will allow family and friends of these inmates to have non-contact visits with their loved ones.
These non-contact visits will be behind glass walls. You will not have any chance to kiss or hug the inmate.
All visits in the Oklahoma County Detention Center will be heavily monitored.
Inmates are permitted to have up to two visits per day. Visits can be anytime during the week from 9 am to 6 pm.
