Sending a Mail/Care Package
Inmates may receive cards and letters, but they must be larger than normal. Incoming mail will be delivered to inmates Monday through Friday. All incoming mail is opened, but not read. Inmates may receive appropriate photographs that are normal in size.

Sending Money
Family and friends of inmates housed at the Adirondack Residential Center are able to deposit funds into inmate accounts by using the kiosks located in the lobby at the main entrance of the jail. Kiosks will accept Cash, Credit Cards, and Debit cards. Deposits will immediately be available in the inmate’s account,
There is a $3 convenience fee for utilizing the Cashier Kiosks; the fee will be deducted from the amount deposited in the inmate’s account.
To make a deposit on-line to an inmate’s account, click the kiosk icon on the right. Have your credit or debit card ready. You will need the inmate’s full name and Inmate ID Number. Inmate ID numbers are available directly from the inmate or at the Adirondack Residential Center lobby.
Phone calls
Inmates cannot receive incoming telephone calls, but they can make outgoing COLLECT calls. The receiver will be responsible for accepting the fees of the call.
Messages are not delivered to inmates except for emergencies, such as a death or medical emergency of an immediate family member. In the case of an emergency, call the facility shift supervisor at 518-643-9444.
Visitation
Individuals can now schedule visits with inmates at the detention center by visiting https://aikencountysc.gtlvisitme.com/app. You can choose to visit on-site at the Adirondack Residential Center or schedule a paid visit from the convenience of your own home, using the video visitation system. Visitors can also schedule visits in the Adirondack Residential Center lobby by using a visitation kiosk.
All visits must be scheduled 24 hours in advance and approved by facility staff.
Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the scheduled time for your visit in order to be registered in a timely manner! If you do not check in at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled visit, your visit will be canceled. Any child under the age of 17 must be accompanied by an adult and must remain under the adult’s supervision at all times.
Visitors must wear proper clothing while visiting. Short shorts, short skirts, bathing suits, and tank tops or excessively tight or revealing clothing is not appropriate. Shoes and shirts are required. The Adirondack Residential Center staff has the right to deny a visit with an inmate if the visitor is wearing inappropriate attire.
