Sending a Mail/Care Package

Inmates in the Essex County Women in Transition will have the ability to receive mail. This mail cannot contain the following:

  • Staples

  • Cash

  • Glue

  • Glitter

  • Crayons

  • Paper Clips

You will need to ensure that all letters are suitable for another pair of eyes to read them prior to the inmate reading them.

All mail will be checked prior to the inmate getting them. You will need to ensure all mail has the inmate’s name and inmate number on them to ensure it gets delivered to the correct person.

Sending Money

Sending money to an inmate in the Essex County Women in Transition will require you to get them a money order. The Essex County Women in Transition will not accept any cash or personal checks. All money must be in the form of a money order. You can drop it off to the facility or you can mail it to the facility.
