The Manchester-by-the-Sea City Jail employs just under 20 full-time and part-time employees.

Within the last year alone, the Manchester-by-the-Sea City Jail has booked and processed over 8,300 offenders and released just under 8,400 offenders.

With the number of offenders booked, there were a minimum of 3,00 jail days that were saved thanks to the Manchester-by-the-Sea City Jail’s inmate work program that they offer their offenders. During this year, the inmate work program was run by the Public Works in the Manchester-by-the-Sea City. The Public Works allowed inmates to clean up lots that were abandoned after the tornados.
