Phone calls
Many of the prison systems throughout the great old United States utilize Securus Technologies as their phone service.
Securus Technologies is a third-party phone service that inmates can use, if they would rather not make collect calls home.
Many families within the Southwest Iowa Juvenile Detention Center have opted in to use Securus Technologies because no one has a landline phone that you would need to be able to answer collect calls.
Visitation
Before you can visit an inmate in the Southwest Iowa Juvenile Detention Center, you will need to ensure that you are not under the influence of any drugs or alcohol. You will need to ensure that you are dressed properly along with having the proper identification on you as well.
If you are visiting with a minor, you will need to be that minor's legal guardian for the minor to be permitted into the visitation area.
All visitation will happen through a glass wall. This will be considered a non-contact visit. There will be NO physical touch.
