The Fremont County Jail & Detention Center officially opened in 1984. It was not until 2005 when the Fremont County Jail & Detention Center underwent a renovation and expansion.
Typically, the Fremont County Jail & Detention Center will only house 20 inmates who are not residents of the county. These inmates will be obligated to pay a room and board fee of $55 per day.

Visitation
Fremont County Jail & Detention Center limits 2 visits per day per inmate. Visits in the Fremont County Jail & Detention Center are held on Mondays through Friday between 9 am to 6 pm.
Visitors will be required to leave everything in their car or with a person who will NOT be visiting. Correctional officers will NOT allow anything in the visitation area.
All visits in the Fremont County Jail & Detention Center are strictly no-contact visits. You will NOT have the opportunity to hug or kiss an inmate. They will be on the other side of a piece of glass.
