Sending a Mail/Care Package

All incoming and outgoing mail will be examined by a correctional officer in the El Paso County Law Enforcement Bureau. This process will take a few days before the mail will be passed out to the correct inmates.

Please refrain from sending any of the following:

  • Care Packages

  • Sexual Content

  • Cash

  • Personal Checks

  • Hard Cover Books

Sending Money

Sending money is going to be one of the easiest tasks you will have to do for an inmate. All funds will need to be in a money order that has the inmate’s name on it.

Phone calls

Many of the prison systems throughout the great old United States utilize Securus Technologies as their phone service.

Securus Technologies is a third-party phone service that inmates can use, if they would rather not make collect calls home.

Many families within the El Paso County Law Enforcement Bureau have opted in to use Securus Technologies because no one has a landline phone that you would need to be able to answer collect calls.
