Opened since 1994, Central Arkansas Community Correction Center is medium-level facility located in Little Rock, Arkansas that houses up to 150 adult males. Inmates are housed in open dormitories, some of which are triple bunks, some are double bunks, and others are single beds. There is one isolation/segregation unit that contains 71 beds.

Qualified inmates can work outside the prison in jobs that include working on a farm, a recycling center, firefighter, maintenance, painter, and other supportive roles for agencies within the county.

Education opportunities in which inmates can earn their GED, learn to read and get an adult basic education are also available. Counseling for sex offenders, family violence and substance abuse are available in both individual and group settings.

Alcoholic Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous are among the programs offered to imamates at Central Arkansas Community Correction Center. Religious services and meetings with Clergy are also available to each inmate.

Central Arkansas Community Correction Center also houses a C.E.R.T. Team, a Tactical Squad and a Fire Station.

Sending a Mail/Care Package

Inmates can receive letters from friends and family; however incoming and outgoing inmate mail is subject to inspection for the presence of contraband.

Inmates may receive only metered, unstamped, plain white postcards no larger than 4" x 6" as mail. Writing must be in pencil or blue or black ink. Any other mail will be returned to the sender

Inmates can also receive 3-5 photos at a time from friends and family members that are no larger than 4" x 6". The photos must not contain nudity. Written and visual depictions of sexually explicit conduct is also not allowed. Inmates can have no more than ten photos in their possession at one time.

Sending Money

Most inmates are eligible to receive money from a loved one when incarcerated at Central Arkansas Community Correction Center. JPay is the way you can send money to an inmate in Arkansas.

Funds can also be deposited in person at the facility as well. Be aware that a percentage of all funds transferred to an inmate will go to paying legal fees if they exist.

Phone calls

Inmates at Central Arkansas Community Correction Center are allowed to make calls through Securus Tech. Calls can only be made if there is money in the inmate’s account. Family and friends should create an account to deposit the funds, as well as receive calls from the inmate.

Be aware that calls will be monitored by Central Arkansas Community Correction Center staff.

Visitation

Visitations at Central Arkansas Community Correction Center are allowed on Saturdays, Sundays, and state holidays. Visitors should contact the administration at 501-686-9800 for more details on visitation schedules for each offender.

Dress code is required, stating that visitors be covered from the neck to knees with clothing that is not see-through, revealing, or contains offensive symbols or words. Watches and wearable technology devices (or cell phones) are also not allowed.

All new visitors or visitors renewing their application must apply online before visiting an inmate. In-state applications should allow for at least 30 days processing. Visitors are allowed to visit multiple offenders if they are immediate family.

Visitation is a privilege for offenders and not considered a right. Offenders or visitors that act out in any way are subject to suspension and or removal of visitation privileges.
